Default Old cowgirl (wink wink)

Howdy everyone from Western Montana. I am married with two children and two grandchildren.

I no longer raise cattle, but we used to raise Buelingo beef cattle and I'm still a member of the Buelingo Society. The Black Dog Ranch Cattle Co. had about 45 head when we gave it up. I will post pics as soon as I dig them up.

I am currently the President and an Instructor at Black Dog Tactical Shooting.

This is (or was) Charlie Chuckroast. Our son's first 4-H steer.

Buelingo is a beef cow (from limousine, angus, galloway and a few other) the belted Galloway is a dairy cow. 😛

We raise BueLingo cattle and have for 25 years. http://buelingo.net/

Our BueLingo cattle originally came from Russell Bueling and the original stock he had was shorthorn and angus crossed to a Dutch Belted Dairy bull. ZERO Galloway involved in the creation of this breed.

Our herd of BueLingo have had small amounts of other breeds put into them including, Limousine, Chianina, Charlois, Salorn, etc...

When the breed was starting up, you could breed a BueLingo bull to any other breed and if they had a full belt, the offspring could be registered. I believe they have changed the rule now and you have to have 3 BueLingo grandparents, a full belt, and no white feet to get registration.

Because of the early startup, there are some interesting crosses. Some folks in the south have some ear on theirs.
