I purchased a 10wk old calf yesterday morning with little information on what he was eating. I’m pretty sure it was a liquid diet as he was being raised for veal. He is playful and feisty with bright clear eyes and his poop looks normal. I have 2nd cut hay out for him, fresh clean water, and some calf starter grain. He’s eating a little of the grain but not super interested in that or the hay. I gave him a bucket of milk yesterday and he just sniffed it. I offered him milk replacer in a bucket and a bottle today and he wouldn’t take either. He is drinking water out of the bucket. Does anyone have any suggestions to get him to drink/eat?
