Hello so we have a cow that is producing milk and a calf that is definetly sucking as I witness that every day but the calf looks as thin as it did on day one. The cow and calf are on their own in a pen separated from the herd.

It was a weak calf so I gave it a vitamin/ protein syringe paste to the back of the tongue in the first few hours and some colostrum in the first six hours and it was sucking the mother by day 2 (if not before)

Sorry photos won't upload but suffice to say it looks as if it hasn't fed at all, can't see any evidence of scours, any advice please?

Plant Liver Grass Fawn Dog breed

This is the heifer calf after 12 days, its always looked thin like this, but otherwise seems ok. Is there anything I can do to fatten it quicker? Is there something wrong with it I might be missing?
