I'm a sophomore in high school and have showed goats and hogs before, what breed of cattle would be best to show?
Well just depends where your at but the hottest thing in the Midwest is simmangus.my self like purebred simmental but every one is going that route .
Hi Hannah! I show cattle, and I'm 17. I believe that the best breed of cattle to show would be herefords because they are extremely docile and don't have as much of a temper as angus or some other breeds. They seem to be pretty easy going.
Herefords would be a good choice, and right now, you can get them cheaper than Black Angus. Anything Black will cost you an arm and a leg. They're pretty mellow. (and I love Angus. We raise them!)
I've never showed, but I'm sure they have a division for everything, are you in 4-h? www.calving2014.wordpress.com
