Owning a cow is new to me so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I bought a 2yr old jersey cow 5 days ago. The people who owned her before kept her in a small pin with nothing but dirt in it and fed her hay, corn and grains. I now have her on 15 acres full of grass and noticed the last two days piles of runny poop the first few days it was normal. Could it be because of her change in diet or something else?

Green grass will do that to them especially if they were just being fed hay

What color is the poop? If it's greenish brown its probaly caused by high protein in grass!

Either that or if it's constant maybe she has johnes.
