I'm looking for a small pasture to lease here in central Texas. I want to get started with a bull and 5 or 6 heifers with space to grow over the next few years. I think I probably need 50 acres or so for heard expansion but I'm flexible. I plan on grass finishing all of my beef. I have alot to learn and realize I'm not gonna be taking profits for quite some time. How do I go about finding available leases? I've looked online with no luck. Should I be going to auctions and just asking around? Are there publications with classifieds? Do ranchers share leases?
Where should i look for lease pasture?

About 2.5 hrs. That would be tough. I'm looking for about an hour or less from San Antonio.

Craigslist or I just post a sign on the front of the property. Drive around and ask land owners in ur area.
